Fostering a love of reading at a young age is so important. Getting students excited about finding the right book, and having a fun and relaxing environment to enjoy reading it is the mission if this project. Having many students who face adversity and food insecurity at home, this project will really help motivate them toward focusing on literacy in the classroom. The area will have a large tree with vines and lights hanging down, a reading tee pee, stuffed plush "campfire", log pillows, and a grass rug to give it an authentic feel. I truly feel the kids will be so excited to enjoy this space.
