During my teaching career I've noticed how allowing students choice has improved not only their spirit in the classroom, but also their ability to be successful. The items I am requesting will support my new first grade classroom and it's students! The seating choices will give students a choice during independent reading, as well as small group time for both math and reading. During these structured time in our day, it's beneficial to give students choice and control of their learning environment. The Legos and Magnetic Tiles will allow students opportunities to work on fine motor skills and use their creativity in the classroom. Fidgets are an amazing tool that help support student focus and attention. Each of these items will give students an opportunity to express their own sense of learning and give them a sense of control in their education.
