I would love to incorporate flexible seating options in my classroom because I believe it is important for students to feel comfortable in their learning environment. My second grade students have very busy bodies and by incorporating flexible seating options in my classroom I hope to provide them with the tools they need to support their wiggly body while also providing them with a successful learning environment. Students currently have the option to work on the carpet or at their desk. When the weather is nice we take our books outside and sit in the shade. I would love to provide my students with more options with the use of flexible seating. Flexible seating will provide my students with new tools and options to flourish. Yoga mats will help to provide a comfortable space both inside the classroom floor and outside. Balancing balls will provide students with a new seating option that will support their wiggly body. A class set of clipboards will provide students the opportunity to take their work to a location they will best suite their needs. I hope to provide my students with flexible seating options in the classroom to support their learning.
