I am just starting my first year of teaching. I am needing books for my classroom. My goal is to build a library of books right in my classroom that my students can access at anytime. I would like to have a variety of books in my classroom on many different levels. This would allow there to be a book for everyone. Reading is extremely important. Everything we do in school is founded on reading. To be the most successful teacher I can be, I believe I need to give my students the opportunity to read as much as possible. By having as many books as a student needs it will also allow them to become a successful reader and student. There are many books that I am requesting that will also teach life lesson skills. They will teach a student why they are important and the things that they do are necessary. I want all of my students to be well rounded and believe in themselves. I believe by getting these books and creating a class library I will be able to do so.
