English language learners can accelerate their learning by being able to record themselves reading aloud or speaking. Next, they listen to their recording. This allows my students to hear what they actually sound like and use that information to make improvements to their pronunciation, expression, or pace. It is a simple and powerful way for them to improve their reading and speaking fluency. It also a way that we can continue to have class discussions including both students learning in person and from home. We use a platform called Flipgrid where students can reply to each other's video recordings. These USB headphones with microphones are a powerful tool that will accelerate learning for my language learners!
