Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers and students is transformational. Adding technology to the classroom would add an extra element of engagement and enthusiasm for learning. Helping to provide the requested materials will ensure a differentiated learning environment for all students. These tablets will help bring learning to life. Students will have direct access to many educational apps that cater to their specific needs. The materials could aid in providing those a-ha moments that we look for from our students. Connected to our already installed smartboard the tablets will elicit more engagement and participation. Specific programs will allow them to interactively become apart of whole group discussions and activities without leaving their seats. Surely this will be a way to get those who are generally quiet, to speak out because there has been a comfort zone created. Because of the integration of technology, every student would have a sufficient supply of digital manipulatives. Creating a hands-on environment changes how learning takes place, limiting the idea that "math/school is hard." With your help, I can continue to bridge the gap and promote a growth mindset within all my students for years to come. The tablets will create a more hands-on, engaging, and interactive environment that students will surely respect and appreciate. Thanks in advance for contributing to the success of students which can last a lifetime.
