The use of manipulatives is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students use the manipulatives for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The manipulatives allow students to scaffold their learning. What becomes a problem is the fact that the manipulatives are sharing among my students, and they can't extend what they have learned in class at home. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve hands-on activities for math lessons, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. The resources that I’m these resources promote Nevada Academic Content Standards and fulfill COVID-related learning needs in my class by addressing the following standards: 5.MP.5, 5.MP.7, 5.NTB.B.7, 5.SL.5.3, and health 1.5.10.
