One of the most essential things all students need when starting school and being able to participate are pencils. Without pencils students won't be able to do their classwork and they won't be able to make it through the class day without pencils. Along with pencils, students also need glue sticks. Having glue sticks will help the students participate in many of the classroom projects. Having multiple visual examples displayed throughout the classroom is a major key to having a fun and exciting environment. Being able to show students multiple visual examples around the classroom will help students with their learning. Having chart paper will allow me to have those visual examples in our classroom. When starting a new topic or brainstorming with the class, being able to draw and write out the students ideas and post them around the classroom is a way of showing students that all their ideas matter. Having these items in our classroom, especially as a first year teacher will make our learning environment exciting and students will be successful.
