Math workshop plays a vital role in our math classroom on a daily basis. This type of instruction allows students the opportunity to apply their knowledge of new math content through differentiated learning activities. One of the rotations in math workshop is to meet with the teacher; however, my classroom only provides triangle shaped desks which have proven to be very difficult to use for small group instruction. By donating to our project, you will not only provide us with furniture that promotes better use of teacher proximity and increased student attention, you will ultimately help to increase the academic growth of our students! Our current classroom tables make is difficult for me to sit close to more than a few students who would benefit from proximity and immediate feedback. The horseshoe-shaped table will become a valued resource for the learning of all students as we meet for math workshop on a daily basis!
