A document camera will allow our class to share all parts of the writing process together! My class is beginning a full implementation of writer’s workshop this year. This process allows students the independence and choice to become passionate about writing while growing in their craft. In order for students to fully engage in the process, there will need to be modeling and sharing of personal writing by both me and the students. The best way for the class to do this together is with a document camera. This way, students can see first-hand how an adult writer does everything from coming up with ideas, to editing and revising a piece. It also allows students to share their own writing process with their classmates in an authentic way. I can’t do this without your help! By donating to our project, you will allow students to truly see themselves as authors.
