In our language arts classroom, students spend a lot of time seated working on writing projects and reading. By giving them more flexible seating options, students will be comfortable and better able to focus on their writing and reading tasks. These flexible seating options would benefit our current groups of 80 4th graders, and continue to be used in future school years! A rug and pillows would encourage students to dive into a good book for reading time. Wobble stools and ball seats give students the ability to wiggle while they work and build their stamina for extended writing and reading assignments. The bungee cords will give busy feet a place to rest and move to help students to better grounded in their personal space. The variety of options available help meet the needs of a variety of learning styles and students.
