Right now, my students are sitting at their desks completing their independent reading and read-aloud reading and I feel like giving them a comfy spot to read will promote reading for pleasure instead of reading for response. I plan on implementing fun and creative reading activities next year like "Flashlight Friday" and "Popcorn and a Good Book" to encourage reading for fun. These chairs and this rug can help my students feel more comfortable in my classroom and can help them understand that curling up with a good book is always a good idea! Please help me give my students a secure place to do that!
