My students will have the flexibility to move and get comfortable while doing math. They will not be restricted by the normal desks, they will have the freedom to explore and have the freedom to enjoy learning. Kids who experience trauma need more than the traditional classroom, they need a place they feel save and comfortable in. Kids cannot learn in an environment with so many restrictions. We need to start listening and paying attention to what kids need, instead of punishing for what they have no control over. I feel that every kid wants to learn, but it’s about adapting to the way they learn, not what’s easier for us.

About my class
