I would love to engage my students in learning by using tools that aid in auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning styles. Children learn better in school when their individual learning styles are recognized and supported. The use of math and phonics manipulatives will give my students the opportunity to learn hands-on. Another way for my students to work hands-on is with whiteboards. The use of whiteboards is a regular activity in my classroom, especially in math. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. My students are fortunate to have access to technology devices in the classroom, but they are easily distracted without headphones. This class set of headphones will help my students concentrate and not disturb others. My students also have difficulty using the scroll pads, so mice would help them work with ease and avoid frustration. The more engaged my students are, the more they will thrive in their learning environment!
