There are many educational and exploratory activities that the light table will be able to accommodate. Children are drawn to the glow of the table and can be soothed by the light as they explore the center. Light panels are an excellent source of visual discrimination. The light panel and manipulatives will be an excellent resource in our classroom allowing students of various abilities to see and manipulate objects to complete counting and sorting tasks as well as letter and word building activities. By using this center during our math and reading blocks, students will be able to manipulate letters and numbers to complete math and word work tasks.
