A rug in a classroom is like the kitchen table in a house. It’s a place where all can gather and share thoughts from the day. It’s a place where everyone is welcome and has a sense of belonging. I hope to build a family atmosphere in my classroom that will influence the learning that occurs there. This rug will house morning meetings, group hands-on activities, and a place to reflect our learning. The rug will be located at the front of the classroom to show it’s importance. I am eager to share my passion for learning with my students!
