My goal is to build an art studio library where students can easily access books which support exploring varying art media, guide student inquiry, and promote empathy and an understanding towards others. To do this, my art studio is organized in media centers where students explore 2-D and 3-D art media using guided questions to deepen their understanding of that media. These books will help visually support these centers by giving prompts and visual examples of how to work with varying art media. These books also focus on empathy, creativity, the importance of making mistakes, taking chances, problem solving, and being true to your own voice while respecting the views and opinions of others.
