Most of our expository texts have great pictures about the topic, but nothing can beat the real thing. It is difficult to explain to students the complexity of cells and how tiny these essential elements of life really are. At their age, it is incredibly difficult to grapple with this concept. We will use requested microscopes, stains and supplies to prepare slides and use already prepared slides for students to explore the complexity of cells. I will be able to give them an experience most have not been exposed to in their careers as students. When students are able to explore with microscopes, they are transported to a whole new world; I want to give them this opportunity.
