There’s no doubt that the benefits of having a listening center in a classroom are many. When the students are listening to stories being read aloud they are developing critical comprehension and listening skills. It also models fluent reading and helps the students with decoding unfamiliar words. Hearing a book read aloud helps the children to see how the words on the page can come alive in a fluid, expressive way. It helps them focus on the sounds of words read without interruption. Please help our kindergarten classroom in getting a listening center. We greatly appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness!
