This year is going to look different but I want to make sure the students are still learning. Our school district could switch over to remote learning at any time, and I want to be prepared to be able to support my students. In my classroom, I am going to make individualized Math Toolkits for each student to use. Students cannot share items this school year, so this will allow each student to have their own materials. Along with other materials, students will have Base 10 blocks, Gear clocks, and Math Write Wipe boards in their toolkit. The Giant Magnetic Regrouping chart will help my students visualize addition and subtraction problems. This will also be helpful when recording lessons for remote students. The Place Value Magnetic Frame will also help my students visualize place value, and be helpful when recording lessons. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase any necessary materials for the school year, including digital supports I can share with my students!
