Special Education is an incredibly difficult and rewarding field to teach in. My students require so much more than general education students. More attention, more differentiated instruction, more time to finish assignments, etc. There is not always curriculum available that is appropriate for my students and what they need. I often spend money out of my own pocket to provide proper lessons and materials to my students. The money curriculum and the teacher pay teacher gift cards will give my students access to much needed lessons and curriculum that is appropriate for their learning levels. The swing will be a fantastic addition to our resource room. Many times my students need a break during the day and the swing will be a great place for them to take a mental break and reset in order to continue learning. I would love to be able to provide these items for my students too better the quality of education that they are receiving and further their interest in school and in investing in their futures.
