Our lives and what is normal has changed for everyone. While we all want to go back to the way things were, we are faced with the harsh reality that this is the new normal. Science is more important than ever to help us through this new normal. This project allows my students to practice science at home while our school is virtual. To receive college credit for AP Chem, students must complete 16 inquiry and non-inquiry labs. These materials and the kits will not only help in their understanding of AP Chemistry but help them fulfill the lab requirements for college credit. While we can use simulations to complete certain investigations, students need to practice designing and carrying out experiments to address phenomena. To paraphrase Louis Pasteur, scientists without laboratories are like soldiers without arms. Help me arm my students with the tools they need to practice Chemistry and learn that they MATTER.
