Rhythm can be taught to any child of all ages, and these djembes would serve as a foundation for musical ensemble experiences for all students in this school. We will be able to combine these drums with some other small hand percussion that we already have to create a solid ensemble. We will use these djembes in both the general music classes and in special ensembles that the students can join throughout the year. Music teaches collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork! These skills are so important to young learners, and a hands-on, hand drumming ensemble can instill these skills! I would be so grateful if you would help provide these percussion instruments so my students can become stronger musicians this year!
