Every year I have at least two students who have a diagnosis of ADHD and to have seating options available to them so they do not have to sit still and can still focus on their work is invaluable. These children have beautiful little brains that just have a hard time staying focused with options that allow them to still be moving so they can concentrate on what I am teaching. My own son has ADD and when he was in 2nd grade and the teacher had flexible seating options he soared; it made a huge difference and it has been one of his most successful years, so I know it works. I want to give my students that same opportunity!
