My students are in an 'at risk' school in Las Vegas, NV, with one of the highest homeless, student/parent, and diverse background populations in the district. They have many different life events that affect them both positively and negatively when they come into my classroom. Even with so many outside forces against them, my students want to learn. When they come into my classroom they know that what I am going to teach them can help them for their future. My students prove every day that no matter what life throws at them, they have the power to overcome.

About my class
