Students learn best when they are fully submerged in the mathematical topic at hand. When using manipulatives in math lessons, it is very easy to find students completely engaged and curious about the topic they are learning about. Help me give my students measuring tapes and magnetic building tiles so that students can use their intuition to explore geometric solids, circumferences, and the properties of circles. Help me give my students coordinate plane peg boards, grid white boards, grid paper, and algebra tiles so that students can use their hands and minds to discover algebraic properties such as slope, rate of change, and linear equation.
