Violins provide students with a valuable opportunity to create music of all styles and genres. Our scholars love music class and have incredibly sharp ears. Violins allow them to transfer that musicianship to an ensemble setting and showcase their work to the community. Our orchestra will create visibility for our school and a chance for students to display their musicianship. We currently have several vocal ensembles that perform for a packed house several times a year. Our orchestra will provide an additional performance experience and teach scholars: motor skills, teamwork and appreciation for the performing arts. Our scholars will also benefit from the support of the community when the orchestra is able to showcase their hard work.
