Since my first year teaching, I have always wanted to get an easel for my classroom. My students learn from hands-on experiences and by visuals. Having an easel, especially during this difficult time, is essential to my students learning. An easel will give my students an opportunity to see me writing in real-time and allow them to learn visually. This easel will assist in keeping my students engaged in the activities being done. I would use this easel during my morning meeting to discuss the weather, who is in school, the question of the day, etc. Having this easel, will help keep my students engaged both virtually and in the classroom by having the material seen easily on the camera and in person. It is difficult to maintain the children's attention when you are showing them a sentence from the screen. This easel will help the students see the teacher as she is writing, which will give them a more realistic feeling of being in school. I like how this easel has storage on the bottom, which allows your teaching materials to be near you, and save you time. I have had my eye on this easel for awhile now. It would complete our PRE-K classroom. Not only does it have a dry erase board, but hooks for us to hang up an anchor chart, or a big reading book. This easel is also magnetic, which will allow us to use magnetic letters and numbers for an interactive activity. Wait, there is more! There is also a flannel board on this easel, to help us perform our read-alouds with props. This easel will definitely help make our classroom more efficient and interactive both virtually and in person.
