These materials will continue to enhance the choice driven, technology infused, developmentally appropriate classroom environment my students thrive in. My classroom is set up in a way to foster independent thinkers, mindful classmates, self-motivated learners, literacy lovers and mathematical thinkers. With this project their diverse learning styles, love of technology and hands-on learning can flourish in a place that my students love coming to every day. They will collect and keep track of their learning in their data binders and document their learning in journals. They will begin to think like scientists, mathematicians and engineers. With these new materials my students will be able to choose goals and reach them with materials that excite them and allow them to foster their independence. They will also be able to choose learning that interests them. They will read with whisper phones, use their number sense with the Touchtronic's interactive numbers, ten frame and number bond magnet fun. The best way to foster their love of learning is to offer more choice, more hands-on materials in math, literacy and use their natural curiosity for the world around them and all things STEM and engineering! My students already have shown an incredible interest in their independent reading, math number sense and all things tech. This project will one hundred percent enrich their experiences and classroom environment for what is for many their first experience with academics and STEM in a school setting.
