The uses of these tablets are endless. My students will be able to utilize the tablets in all subject areas. My district uses a reading program called iStation Reading. My class gets to go to the computer lab only once per week, but with tablets in the classroom, they would be able to access the program on a regular basis. With the Amazon Fire tablets, my students will gain responsibility and accountability. I will introduce my students to the Seesaw app which will house a digital portfolio to add their work. Since much of their work is hands-on, they will be able to take a photo and add to their portfolio. Their portfolios can then be shared with families. My students will be motivated to work during independent learning time, such as center time, knowing their work will be shared.
