My project will be used to enhance the classroom experience of students by providing additional supports and resources for students in special education (including specific learning disabilities, ADHD, memory deficit disorder, etc.). By providing my students with calculators, it gives them the opportunity to solve more complex problems without the frustrations they encounter due to their lack of having the ability to retain previous information to solve problems. Calculators are a technology that helps my students improve their conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability for them to compute without the frustration of trying to do it without this support.
