Flexible seating promotes success! Three trapezoid and one flower shaped table would allow students to practice working independently while around other people. This would also allow the adults in my classroom to sit with the students at a table as opposed to sitting beside their desk. This would help to create a more "real-life" environment in my classroom. My students would benefit from a classroom environment where they are able to practice social skills in a work setting. Middle school is the gateway to building the transitional and work skills through functional academics. I would love for the seating arrangements to match the work environment I wish to create for my students!
