The materials I am requesting already have a "home" - I know exactly where they will go and how students will be able to use them to increase engagement and productivity. We just need your help getting everything in the door! We are requesting a sofa, rug, shelf, and storage bench for a flexible seating space in our Middle School Language Arts classroom! A classroom with flexible seating gives students choice, comfort, and an increased sense of community. It also helps to provide an authentic space for collaboration - something extremely important for a Language Arts classroom! The large carpet will be a gathering space for our class, where we will have the opportunity to discuss books and ideas. The couches and bench will create a much needed "living room" space in our very large classroom, where students can cozy up with their books and disappear into their stories. The shelves will hold our new books, that definitely need an organized home so they can get to the students who want to read them! All together, these materials will provide a comfortable, safe space for students to come together as learners. Thank you for helping our classroom be the best it can be!
