The professional artist canvases will be used for the final in class project of the year, "Make YOUR Masterpiece". It is imperative for students taking a visual arts class to have the opportunity to paint on professional quality canvas. My students love to paint and this project will allow them to learn how canvas takes paint. Currently our students have been painting on cut up cardboard boxes. These canvases will change the way my students express themselves. When you paint on a canvas, something magical happens. Your artwork feels more important and real. So few students have access to professional quality supplies, this is a wonderful opportunity for the students to experience an industry standard medium.
