My special needs students do pilates, including my students in wheelchairs and walkers. We actually have all of the students come down to the mat on the floor. I have modified the pilates class so everyone can do the exercises. I had a wireless speaker but it broke. Currently, I use my cell phone to play music for our class, but my cell phone is not loud enough and it is hard for my students to hear the music. The students love listening to music. Having music for the pilates class makes it more meaningful. When we do our pilates class, the students pick the music that I play.
