Every year, high school students from our school work to become better athletes on the softball field. They come to use ready to learn a brand new sport and hope to train at the varsity level. However, without the proper equipment, practice is a difficult task. Having the proper equipment will help our girls, and our team, have more efficient practices and become better athletes. As a coach, I feel as if our athletes will strive to become stronger in the batters box with the use of a pitching machine. This machine will help them gain more confidence on and off the field. A pitching machine where we can change the pitch and speed of the ball would be an amazing opportunities for our athletes. On the varsity level, knowing how to properly bat is just as important as how to field a ball. Safety is also a concern when you play high school sports, especially when the sport is brand new to most of our team. The fielding masks will help protect some of those girls from taking a softball to the face when things get tough. Teams lose too many players due to injuries and we strive to do whatever we can to make those injuries less likely!
