Our Middle school is immediately next door to a High School. Our students and our staff have been impacted by the tragedy on 2/14 when seventeen lives were lost. Some of our students are siblings and friends of students who were killed on 2/14. The teachers here have also been impacted. We care about our students even after they have left our classroom. They are "our kids". They graduate eighth grade and move on to high school next door, but they are forever in our hearts. It's been difficult accepting the reality that some of them are no longer with us. We created this garden as a safe space for reflecting, relaxing and learning in a natural setting. This area helps provide emotional support for our students and staff. We appreciate your donation.
