Currently, our K1 students are learning about wind and water as part of OWL (Opening the World of Learning, our Pre-K literacy curriculum). Students are exploring the movement of water, how weather affects water movement, the main stages in the water cycle and the states of matter, through books and guided discovery. While OWL offers a variety of in-class learning opportunities, the themes in the curriculum open up a pathway to several field experiences. Students will be able to take what they learned in a classroom setting and see it being applied in real-world situations. Your generous donation to our project will enable our students to develop a passion for learning through hands-on explorations beyond the classroom.
