These tablets will help my students keep up with the use of technology and will help them be able to work independently on the computerized programs that they do not have the advantage to work on from home. The students are in 4th grade and some have still not owned or used a tablet or computer. Many do not have wifi at home. In a world where teachers can assign homework electronically we are still at a disadvantage due to our students who dont have what is necessary to keep up with others who are advantageous. In less than two years my 4th graders will head to middle school where technology is widely used. If they are not exposed to technology, even at this level, we cannot expect them to excel in the secondary level of education they are facing. Success at education begins in elementary education because this is the foundation of their education.
