The hands-on materials are really essential for many of my students to grasp difficult concepts in math and in word construction. The ability levels in my two classes range from 1st-9th grades. My special education students need these types of tools to help them at their level, while the students who are working above grade level need them to understand concepts that will keep them moving forward in their learning. Children need to use manipulatives often when they are learning new concepts. It helps them to formulate concrete understanding as they progress in all content areas. I also included games that my students can play that will enhance their skills academically and socially. These materials will help every single student I work with to achieve their best!
