My students have been begging to dissect something since the very first day of the school year. We have absolutely nothing in our limited science supplies to complete a dissection, and my classroom budget is very small for a science lab, not enabling such a large purchase for just a couple periods worth of discovery. You would be helping my students get past the "eww!" factor and actually dive in to science with actually getting to do a real life dissection on a frog. You would be able to help inner city middle school students determine whether pursuing future science classes and a potential healthcare career is in the cards for them. Remember when you got to dissect something in school with your little scalpel and forceps? We are asking for the frogs and enough dissection kits and trays that the students can work in groups of 3-4 in order to discover frog anatomy and apply it to their own.
