As a teacher, it is important that you are modeling instruction for your students. Students learn best when a task is first modeled for them. After the model stage, it is essential that instruction is monitored by the teacher. During this stage, it is imperative that the students know the numerical strategies to complete the task and having an easel would help do this. Finally, as the students are working on their own, they will be able to refer back to the material that is on the easel to complete their work. Having an easel in the classroom would be a great benefit to each of my students overall learning experience.
