My students come from all around Chicago to attend my school. Our school is a hard working charter school on the north side of Chicago. My students' parents have chosen to send them here, and they have very high expectations. Aside from the expectations from the school, as students with special needs, they have a set of goals and expectations that are specific to them. Each of my students have one or more disabilities. They face unique challenges each day. Each of them struggle to learn with the general population of students and many of them face challenges at home. Even though they get frustrated and are significantly challenged, they have found a way to be successful and I want to show them we recognize their achievements.
