Students in my class do not have the financial means to travel, therefore I would like to show them the world. With the materials I have selected for them they can experience different cultures, landmarks, and continents without leaving the classroom. I would love to bring the world to them with a variety of experiences, a hands on approach, texts, and pictures. My class is very curious and are always asking where is this place, or how far is this place. Having a globe and maps can provide the materials needed to help them see that our world is a bigger place than what they see on a daily basis. Hopefully these materials will encourage them to explore the world without having to leave the classroom.
