My students are first graders in a public school in California. We are a smaller public school, having only a little over 300 students. My students come from various socio-economic backgrounds and I would consider my class fairly racially diverse. My school is considered to be in the "moderate poverty" level. In my classroom the students are energetic, caring, and hard working. They love to read and we spend about an hour everyday in class reading.
