The Chromebooks you are helping me purchase will enhance the direct instruction of the teacher and make it more effective and efficient by enabling larger groups of students to use the Chromebooks simultaneously. Therefore, fewer students will miss vital instructional content when it is presented. The five Chromebooks will allow students to gain confidence in their academics as their engagement and academic preparation increases through lessons and activities that are differentiated and tailored to meet the diverse needs of the individual students. The use of the technology will remediate, reteach and close the gaps of struggling students while allowing on level students to be challenged and advance to new standards-based content in all academic areas. The Chromebooks will also allow me to work with small groups on common areas of need. Assessments and assignments can be completed on the Chromebooks and the students will receive immediate feedback as they respond to comprehension questions, content area questions, complete labs, or as they solve arithmetic problems. Furthermore, students will be able to engage in cooperative activities in small groups. Interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! Students will gain confidence as they become more engaged and prepared for academic demands.
