Students who make and create things become more confident in their abilities, which is why Maker Spaces have become so popular in school libraries. By providing students with sewing kits, art supplies, and other creative resources, they can take their self-directed projects home with them and build/create to their heart's content. Today's students need to learn how to make things so they can go out into the world and make things! However, they don't always have craft supplies at their homes and parents can't always put these extras into their already tight budgets! We can put the supplies for a specific project in "STEAM To Go" kits and let students check out these boxes and practice their "making skills" at home.
