Teaching students to understand mathematics' processes is critical in the early years. My first grade students LOVE math, and they love learning through the use of manipulatives, games, and songs. I recently attended a fluency program for teaching addition facts and subtraction processes with my co-teacher, and we would LOVE to fully implement the program. Unfortunately, we will not get any budgeted money for materials until summer for use with next year's class and we would like to begin the program with our current class to give them an advantage of what math fact fluency can do for them.

About my class
