Because the snow continues to pile and the possibility of outdoor PE units continues to grow more distant, I would like to take advantage of the Minnesotan white stuff and do an outdoor PE unit in the snow! The problem, however, is that many of my students lack proper outdoor gear, including hats, gloves, and coats. With your help, my students will have the winter gear needed for them to experience a snowshoeing and wintery snow unit. Hats, gloves and coats will be shared among the students who do not have access to winter attire. After the PE classes are done for the day, they will be washed and dried in preparation for being used by students during classes the following day. There are 6 classes of about 25 students each day and students have PE class every other day, meaning that about 300 students will have access to these essential items during each winter unit.
