My students love to get lost in a good book, especially historical novels. In 4th grade, we read the book, Number the Stars; unfortunately, we don't have our own class set of these books. I am hoping to purchase a class set of these books so each student can have their own copy of Number the Stars. Not only does this novel give us the opportunity to explore history, but it also teaches us a valuable lesson about standing up for what you believe in, even if it means taking a risk. These books will give my students the opportunity to go on an adventure while learning about the importance of friendship, courage, and identity.
